Holidays Acrostic Poem - Mariam

Namaste bloggers! During the first week of term 4, our class has been creating an acrostic poem on how their school holiday experience went. We had to include alliteration and words that rhymed with each other. Below is my example on how my experience went;

I tried to be creative with the border and emojis. I hope you fancy my "change" in creativity.

Thank you for reading :)

Ni hao bloggers! How have you all been during this lock down/ quarantine? I hope you all have been safe and well.

Of course, mine was really annoying and fun at the same time. It was kind of annoying because my younger brothers would always start bugging me from time to time. It was kind of fun because I was playing with my neighbour's cats even in level 4.

Something that was really fun was seeing my teacher and friends on Google Meet which was basically Zoom, but on Google. Some things that were stressful were trying to focus on my work without getting distracted onto something that I should do after I finish my work.

During my time in lock down I finished off some work that I got assigned during my time at home.

Here is my homophones work that I did during lock down.

SLJ Week 1 Day 2 Activity 2: One small step for man

Namaste Bloggers!

Have you ever thought of what it's like to set foot on the moon? It sounds like you're going to be found as a dead baboon in 20 years on a comet-like sphere that revolves around the planet all 7.5 billion people live on today. It's crazy!

Below, I have made a poem about what I would've felt like if I was to set foot on the moon as the first person.

SLJ: Day 1 Week 1: Activity 1 Setting Sail: Physical Limits

Malo E Lelei Bloggers! Today is the first week of the Summer Learning Journey for 2019! I am excited to be completing tasks from the Summer Learning Journey.

Above is an activity about Physical Limits. What you had to do is imagine you were invited to be at sea for three weeks and were to pack food of your own, and list 10 food items you'd take. I tried to choose nutritious options for my list.

To be honest, I think my list turned out okay. It would last for 3 weeks I'd say.

I hoped you enjoyed the first activity I did for the SLJ!

Thank you for reading this blogpost! Selamat tinggal!

Digital Profile - Mariam

Assalamualaikum! My name is Mariam and I go to May Road School. My hobbies are reading books, practising sports and learning new things. My interests are reading and drawing. I am a year 5 and I'll hopefully be graduating in 2020. I really enjoy mathematics, reading and writing as well as science, music, Maori and visual art.

My goals for this year are to finish off a task in the week the task is given. I enjoy learning how to speak in Maori, visual art, science and music. I am good at soccer, speaking in Maori, playing the ukulele, and writing. My challenges are maths problems, but then I get the answer of the problem in the end.

Somebody who inspires me is my teacher, Ms Tokuma. What I am looking forward to this year is trips (Stardome, camp, etc.). A personal achievement I’ve won is the trophy for Academic Achievement for year 3-4 girls twice in a row for prize giving. I like sharing my learning on my blog because then people from other schools and around the world know what we’re learning about. I like connecting with others because then they can share our learning and ideas within each other.
