SLJ: Day 1 Week 1: Activity 1 Setting Sail: Physical Limits

Malo E Lelei Bloggers! Today is the first week of the Summer Learning Journey for 2019! I am excited to be completing tasks from the Summer Learning Journey.

Above is an activity about Physical Limits. What you had to do is imagine you were invited to be at sea for three weeks and were to pack food of your own, and list 10 food items you'd take. I tried to choose nutritious options for my list.

To be honest, I think my list turned out okay. It would last for 3 weeks I'd say.

I hoped you enjoyed the first activity I did for the SLJ!

Thank you for reading this blogpost! Selamat tinggal!

  1. Malo e lelei Mariam,

It is Megan here from the Summer Learning Programme. I hope you have had a lovely summer so far and enjoyed your Christmas. I have been hanging out in Waihi Beach for a few weeks so I was over the moon to come back and see that you have decided to start the activities.

What a great variety of foods you have decided to take on your sea voyage. You have made some smart decisions including the canned food and 63 bottles of water. That is a very precise number, how did you work out that you need 63 bottles?.

You have thought about every element within a food pyramid: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and most importantly, water. Fresh water is a necessity on a long voyage like this. Do you think you would like to go on this kind of trip?

Next time you use images from the internet, be sure to attribute the image - this just means copy the link from where you found the image and put it next to the image on the poster, so we can see exactly where you found it :)

    Selamat tinggal,
    Megan :)
