SLJ Week 2 Day 3 Activity 3: Belle of the Ball

Ni Hao bloggers! Above this text is one of the SLJ activities where you had to write about your favourite book. I chose this Graphic Novel called "Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy". You'd probably know a movie called "Little Women" which is based off the original which was made in the 1800's, well the book is based off the original. I hope you enjoy reading about my favourite book!

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post! I hope you had a great New Year celebration!

  1. Ni Hao Mariam,

I sure had a fun time celebrating the new year, 2020! This year will be amazing. I am a student commenter for the Summer Learning Journey and you may see me around you and other students blogs. Did you have fun celebrating new year?

Wow, your work is amazing! I like how you made this post very colourful to attract people, and the white text stands out nicely. As for your book, it seems like something I would love to read! The story seems very sad but exciting, I wish I could just reach out of my screen and look through! Your description is excellent, thank you for adding some extra information about where the book originated from. Is the book more drama, sad, scary? What genre?

What kind of books are you interested in? I like drama, but usually stay away from adventure or fantasy. My favourite authors are David Walliams, Roald Dahl and Jacqueline Wilson. Have you ever heard of these? What's your favourite author? I am a very big bookworm, I will sit there all day and read a good book if I have too! Do you like reading?

Keep up the amazing work Mariam, I'm excited to read more of your posts. Enjoy your holidays and stay learning with this programme!

    1. Ni Hao Gargee,

I had fun celebrating the New Year by watching the Fireworks at the Sky Tower.

I'd say the book is more of a drama-like book. I like any book set in modern day time. I've heard of David Williams and Roald Dahl but I haven't heard of Jacqueline Wilson. My favourite authors are Andy Griffiths, Raina Telgemeier, Ann M. Martin.
I like reading very much! I'm a bookworm as well!

  2. Ahiahi pai Mariam, how has your summer been? What have you been up to?

My name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next week! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog.

I’m so glad you’ve written about this book! I’ve just seen ‘Little Women’ and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life! I loved the sisters and how the story was told, it was so beautiful. How is this story relatable to you? If you were to rate it out of 10 (10 being the best book ever) what would you rate it as? What are your favourite and least favourite things about the book/author?

I don’t really have a favourite book but I love psychological thrillers, or books that are historical and have a strong lead female character!

I’ve noticed that you haven’t been active in a while, and we really enjoyed reading your posts when you were active. I thought I would just jump on your blog and give you a gentle reminder that the Summer Learning Journey finishes next Friday (24th January) so you have until then to do as many activities as you can. Remember that the more activities you do, the more points you gain and the higher the chance of you winning some really cool prizes!

Happy blogging, I look forward to reading more of your posts :)
    Eliza.
